On 13 April 2009 a small group of amateur photographers took part in an exciting exhibition organised by PhotoCarrefour Abuja. It was my first time exhibiting my photographs and I was understandly nervous. We had captured our images a couple of months earlier at a local wrestling stadium. Below is my journal of my experience….
Writing about strong Nigerian women.
Evidence based reporting that results in actual changed behaviour.
Amplifying the voices of women and children in domestic or sexual violence situations.
Personally contributing to the academic pursuits of vulnerable girls.
Access to inclusive and quality education, health and equal opportunities.
Advocating for gender responsive fiscal policies and women’s participation in decision making.
Leading research in gender.
Teaching communities how to engage with the government.
As a community we could all empower and motivate others and each other.
Supporting the education of children in underserved communities.
Commitment towards humanitarian development and services.
